Latest News : Ok, its been a few months since the last KRISISDnB newsletter, and it has been a mixed time for the station. Some disappointing weeks listener wise have been and gone, but also some major highlights which show we are making real progress. The Inhibit Crew from Perth have really made an impact on the station bringing some of the biggest shows so far and getting some big name guests along the way as well. Dub Alley were something else I have to say, but also have to big ups the other guests like Wrath and Jazza as well. This weekend is gonna break new records once again with their 24 hour show featuring some of the best Australian talent around. With some luck we will have the webcams up and running for this marathon event to get us all involved in the madness. There is more to come from this lot as well in the coming months, and although I know the timezone difference makes it hard for our UK listeners, its worth remembering if you have a day off from work, or you can even get your headphones plugged in and beat the boss with the anti-firewall stream icon in the top right of the site. BRING ON 24 !!!! Direct from Perth Australia, and possibly the longest continuous LIVE show on Internet Radio. Kicks off at 5AM UK TIME (Midday in Perth) ON THE 28th till 29th July Site Updates and hints : Firstly, you should all be aware from his forum post that DJ HerbalQ has stepped down from the management of KRISISDnB as he has recently moved from KRISIS Towers to Bournemouth which is nearer his new job. NeO and myself did not want this to happen but he felt it was not right as he would be unable to contribute much especially as he currently has not got internet. Herbs will still stay as a founder member of KRISIS and once he has settled down in his new place will once again be a regular on the station. In the mean time we will get Herbs up from Bournemouth to do shows as often as we can till he will take the Wednesday 10-midnight and Saturday 6-8pm slots. Also at the same time as Herbs moving to Bournemouth, MC Dexy decided to take the spare room at KRISIS Towers. Dexy has therefore joined the management team looking after some of the operational role, as well as external events and promoting the station. Through Dexy, KRISIS and KRISISDnB host their first live event this Friday (27th July) at the Angel pub in Southampton. Ok, it may not be as big as Slammin Vinyl, but will get the station known to a lot more people. At the moment we are not sure whether we can stream this first event live on the station, but it will be recorded, and put on the archives. We are hoping to get more of the DJs and MCs from the station involved in this, and other projects we are working on in the next few months, so keep an eye out on the forum.
Work behind the scenes doesn’t stop, and we have more site developments being worked on so keep checking the site so you see them first. As we bring these online, we will let you know via emails to all registered users on the forum, so spend 5 mins to register yourselves and get the latest news first. The webcams are not being used as much as we would like at the mo, but DJs Hijak and Law have added an extra dimension to their shows by using it, and hopefully we will have the Inhibit crew from Australia using them very soon as well. As more shows start to use the webcam we will make them known to you all. The front page has not changed much in the last month. However we have added a visitor map which shows the locations of visitors to the site. This is an external program so the results are accurate and based on a users IP address. As you can see we are spreading around the globe. It’s a bit of a geography quiz to work out some of the countries, but with a bit of ‘googling’ I managed to find them out !! (the blob left of America is Hawaii) From the suggestion from a listener in New Zealand we have added a ‘Donate’ button to the front page. We don’t want to be seen as asking for money, but the larger the station gets the more it costs us, so the help would be fantastic. AND KEEP THOSE SUGGESTIONS COMING !!! If there is something you don’t like, something we are missing, something we should be doing differently then let NeO, Dexy, myself (MX) or any of the DJs or MCs on the station know so we can sort it out VOTE KRISISDnB !!! We have been doing well in recent weeks, and are back in first place nearly every day. However the chart it shows is somewhat deceiving. It is only showing the relative position over the last 7 days votes, so we are still a LOOOOOOONG way off from winning. Saying that if we stay at the top, then we keep closing the gap, so every vote really does count !! Remember you can only vote for us ONCE A DAY, so there is no point giving yourself fingers like ‘popeye’ by clicking on us loads every day as it will only accept your first vote. ONSLAUGHT is only a week away, and the logistics of getting this 2 day special organised are starting to kick in. With the shear number of DJs and MCs we are getting to Southampton its gonna be a MEGA weekend. There is a possibility we may extend the show on the Saturday to start at 2PM instead of 3pm, but we will let you know on the front page as soon as we can.
Then we get warmed up for ARMAGEDDON. After some discussions with Thornhill Youth Centre we will be hosting an under 18s event on the 31st August as part of their summer event. More details soon in the forum

New DJs and Shows : In the last few months there have been a couple of shows that have changed where some DJs have moved on, or are having a break. We have to say that nobody has left on bad terms with the station, and if they wish to return then they will always be welcome. However, we have been bringing in new artists as well which keeps the lineup fresh. So here is an update of the new shows on KRISISDnB : Monday 8-10pm and Friday 8-10pm Certified Sickness show - Coop and Swifty have been known to MX and NeO since we both started broadcasting a year ago, so we knew what to expect from these two !!! 2 massive shows from them each week, with guests including DJ Blitz, Slimboy and JDS the scratchmaster guarantee a busy chatroom every time. Wednesday 6-8pm DJ Blitz – Has been doing shows with DJ Coop and DJ Swifty since they joined the station a month or so ago, and has decided to take on his own show as well to make Wednesday evenings one you cannot miss !! Thursday 10pm till midnight DJ Leon Blue – A talented DJ bringing the full spectrum of d&b from dark, to jump-up to some liquid as well. A change of show every week depending on his mood. Sunday 3-4pm MC Dexy and guests – Dexy spits constantly for an hour on the station with MX on the decks. With guests like Icy L and Random K to name a few, this is the show to start your Sunday afternoons. Sunday 8-10pm Verdict and friends – Verdict, Deviant and MC Sarkee bring a host of guests every week to follow on from the management show to tear the place apart. Check the forum for some of the lineups in the coming weeks. SURVEY RESPONSES Well its been there on the KRISISDnB LIVE page for some time now and we have a profile of locations and ages of our listeners. As we have always said we will publish ALL of the comments (of what you would like to see on the site), so here they are, along with responses where we see fit !!
