Latest News :
Its been a couple of months since our last newsletter mainly due to a hectic christmas and new year. The DEVASTATION specials over christmas were HUGE ! We hope you all enjoyed the first christmas specials on the station live from both Perth Australia and Southampton UK as well. I think im safe in saying that everyone who took part enjoyed them as well. Vengeance in January was intended to bring Dirty Needle Recordings to Southampton, but that was not to be. However, with the mighty Lyptikal (Finn People), and MC Firekid (Nominated best up and coming MC) alongside yet another massive lineup of DJs and MCs, we hope we still tore the internet waves apart !! The 'Interviews with the stars' section has a new feature this time from producer and DJ SENSA. Sensa will be doing more shows and events with the station in the coming months. Big ups to Rowney and Propa G for getting him on their show and introducing him to the station. Also shout outs to Frisko and Backchat who have been on the mic in recent weeks on the newly renamed 'Ruthless Kombination Squad / Second City Records' show. Forthcoming Events : The station travels to the Tabu Club Lounge in Yeovil on the 7th March for the first in a monthly event bringing the biggest names in D&B along with us. First up are CALLIDE and SENSA headlining alongside Certified Sickness, NeO and Final COncept on the decks. MCs Creepa Dapa D, Ricochet Banton, Shunobie 1 and Substance on the mic which makes a stunning lineup to show Yeovil what KRISISDnB is about. If you can come along then add your name to the listings on DontStayIn, Myspace or Facebook. The lineup and date for Aprils event will be announced in the next few weeks. 2008 sees KRISISDnB approach its first birthday on the 21st March (Easter weekend). DROPZONE on the 21st March (Good friday) will be a Battle event between KRISISDnB vs DNBREVOLUTION. We will be broadcasting this on both stations live and will have both webcams up and running as well. 6 DJs and 6 MCs from each station will take part so make sure you put this one in your diary. We are also going to make the KRISISDnB first birthday a special occasion in some way. NeO has put a post in the forum asking for your suggestions for how you would like us to take the station into Year 2. We hope you agree with us that Year 1 has been a year of constant progress and we thank each and every one of you for listening to, watching and supporting the station Yet another station battle is due for May 30th at Club2XS in Bournemouth. KRISISDnB vs SUBBASSFM will be displaying the best talent from both stations. Massive shout to Subbassfm for asking us to take part and come along to their venue, yes we may be on 'away' territory but will make it an event to remember. Full lineup and flyer will be out soon so keep checking the forum for more details. Site Updates : KRISISDnB has started to make its mark on facebook. Being one of the first internet radio stations to start a facebook group and watching other stations follow us proves we are ahead of the game. We now have over 500 members to the group and want to see that rise even further, so tell your friends. Yes, facebook is a promotional tool for the station, but as you can see from the group we will be using it to keep you updated with things on the site. NeO has been working behind the scenes a fair bit recently, making strides on some background projects for the site and stream. In the last week he has announced that we now own KRISISDnB.CO.UK as well as the .COM address. You can use either address to access the site. Since the Knowledge magazine article in November, we have been featured in more publications including 'Best of 2007' in Swindon, and another that goes to a large number of the armed forces both in the UK and abroad. The Voting has started for next years Top Drum n Bass website, and once again we have put KRISISDnB in the toughest league. With everyones support we truly believe we can win this, but need each and every one of your help to realise that dream. The link is on the front page of the site, simply click it and then click on the KRISISDnB logo to register your vote. You can vote once per day so there is no point exercising your finger too much by keeping clicking on us as it will only register one vote a day. New shows / New times : There has been the odd change to the lineup with the main ones being : Monday 10.30-midnight Messy Behaviour are back !!! Were with the station from week 1 last year, but had probs with their internet connection, but in time for the 1 year anniversary of KRISISDnB they return with DJ Vortex and guests to once again tear the interwaves apart !! MC Hic, MC T and more on the mic Tuesday 5-6pm(uk time) DJ Alex Rayden from Georgia bringing some more international darkness every other week (2nd and 4th tuesday of the month) Wednesday 4-6pm DJ Mixup switches his early thursday night slot to a wednesday Friday 9-10.30pm DJ Skippa is one of the best up and coming producers on the station, so be prepared for plenty of his own dubplates in his shows Saturday 6-8pm Max Bruce, DJ Destructive with MC Trippa Dangerous and MC Gizzy to get your saturday night off to a blinding start. You will be bouncing in your chair or dancing round your room to this show !!! Sunday 2-4pm DJ Aaron D's Sunday Roast. A blend of new beatz as well as classic thumpers !! KRISISDnB Floaters - 2 class DJs Greeneggz and Danny-G take the role of floaters on the station (apologies for the name) until we can find them a permanent slot, filling the gaps in the schedule either day or night, which means less archives and more live shows. Big ups lads !! Doing the station a huge favour which is well appreciated !! With the UK evening timeslots pretty full and with Danny-G, Greeneggz and more waiting, we are now only looking at new international DJs to add to our current collection. NeO and myself have to give a massive big ups to the Inhibit Crew from Perth, the Sauga Sound Crew from Toronto, B.Phonic from Los Angeles, SubSonic from Belgium, and now also DJ Alex Rayden from Georgia for helping to get KRISISDnB known in their respective countries. We hold you all in the highest regard as the time differences can make things harder for us to support you as much as we would like. Once again the clocks will change in about 6 weeks time which will adjust some shows but we will let all the stations listeners know as soon as ive got my head around the 24hour clock and the dates each country changes on (not easy i tell ya !!)
