KRISISDnB EVENTS IN SOUTHAMPTON

MX Birthday Bash saw the start of regular KRISISDnB events in Southampton. A special day for MX alongside some of the better known DJs and MCs on KRISISDnB like Rowney, Propa G, Jayline, Sensa, MC Felon and more!! The 2nd event 'South Coasts Finest' proved that some of the other DJs and MCs on the station can do just as well (if not better) then the DJs / producers from the first event. DJ Taylor, Miss Lethal, Mr Lean, Krogenik, NeO, Coop, G-Rat and Clash really did smash it !! Part 3 brought MC Spooka (Radio 1 / 1Xtra) to headline the night, but everyone on the lineup was a headliner in my view.

Part 4 moved venues to the MITRE in Southampton and had a lineup any club would pay a fair amount of money to get. None less than 3 record labels come to show their latest releases and dubplates...CROOKED BEATZ, NIGHTWALKER RECORDINGS and ROLLIN SOUNDZ RECORDS. This does not mean that we are moving towards larger names as we also have some more class talent from the station in DJ JASON F, F K ZAMAN, COCO MC, FRISKO and guest DJs BASE and MOS.

The ladies will be headlining part 5 on the 19th July. Lined up for that so far are DJ SHORTSTUFF, LITTLE MISS LETHAL, DJ DISMISS alongside MC MELODY, LADY DVINE and MC NECTA. Keep checking the site for the full lineup.

K-POD and K-BEATZ

The monthly official podcast has not happened as yet however there is a collection of class mixes from DJs Access, Blitz, Swifty, Premium as well as exclusive tunes from Sensa, Analoge and Premium to keep you jumping !! Much more to come in the coming months.

SITE UPDATES

You may have noticed that you can now TEXT THE DJ from your mobile phone. It costs a standard text message and goes directly to the current DJs studio to get your shout out.

Weve had a few problems in the last week or so with the Archive Request System not working. We believe this issue has been resolved now. Apologies for that but the issues were outside of our control.

KRISIS / G-RAT / ONE MANOR EVENTS

With KRISISDnB hosting an event every 2 weeks it made sense to collaborate with ONE MANOR and G-RAT who do the same on the alternate weekends. The same soundsystem and lighting rig is used every week and really pumps out some bass !!! With both crews joining forces it means that each event really does combine the very best of both.

KRISIS IN GERMANY

The first event in Europe for KRISISDnB on the weekend of October 3-6th. Check the forum for more details as they come. The club (EX2 in Oldenburg near Bremen) is booked and the lineup is slowly taking shape. Anyone is welcome to come along and see the start of many events in some of the countries where KRISISDnB is listened to. DJ ILLUSIV from the Inhibit Crew, Australia is on his european vacation and will be coming along to Germany alongside a large crew of KRISISDnB DJs and MCS and also some of the very best German artists as well. Once again a huge thanks to Askart for helping to organise this with us.

KRISIS vs SUBBASSFM

The first battle event between both stations happened on the 27th June 2008. Was a class night with some sick sets from both stations which really did show that its all about the music and not the bitching that seems to follow some other stations around. Big ups Dubya and Sweetie and everyone else in the Subbass crew for getting us down to your club for the first of what we hope becomes a regular event.

NEW SHOWS

DJ MESSY (Class A Recordings / Kool FM) joins KRISISDnB on a saturday lunchtime (12noon uk time) for an hour of his latest wobblers every week. Messy is an established name on the club circuit now and has played with some of the biggest names in the scene. A highly talented producer as well so check his MySpace page for some of his latest tunes and event bookings

DJ SW@T from Canada has linked up with us and brings a blend of jump up, dark and liquid depending on her mood. Yes our 2nd female DJ on the station, but dont expect a quiet show !! This girl grabs your heart and tears it out showing no mercy !!!

KRISIS SUMMER SPECIAL

The events in Southampton have left little time to organise a big station event, but we are well aware of the different countries that listen to the station, so following on from last years ONSLAUGHT special we will be doing our 2nd summer show most likely on the weekend of the 15-17th August. With the biggest Southampton event so far on the 16th with Logan D alongside Fatman D it seems the ideal time to have the biggest show on the station as well !! Were hoping to make this a 3 continent show with the Inhibit Crew from Australia starting things off, followed by the UK crew and then the Sauga Sound Crew from Toronto Canada to bring a large portion of the station together for a massive show.
