KRISISDnB : Thanks for being interviewed for the KRISISDnB.COM website. Firstly can you give us a brief background to how you got into DnB?

MANGA : A mate of mine had a pair of decks and he was mixing jungle back then around 94 times still, so me being me I was always trying to jump on and have a go at mixing his records (poor guy haha), after that started to listen to kool fm, then when jump up started that was it I was propa on it from then on.

KRISISDnB : Can you tell us the projects you are working on at the moment?

MANGA : errrr.... off the top of my head I’m working on my next cyntax Error release which should be Shogun of the Dark and God of War on the flip but that’s TBC at the moment. Plus Remix's and co-labs with other artist's on the label. I’ve also been hit up by a few other record labels as well so I’ve got stuff that I’m working on for them at the moment not to mention that I’ve got a few other co-labs going on with other dj’s as well… a few diff hip hop mix tapes also, just got asked to help work on a raga thing for someone as well. Just keeping myself busy really so watch this space peeps!

KRISISDnB : How long have you been mixing and producing and what got you started on both?

MANGA : I started messing about on the decks from about 94-95 so that’s about 14 odd years now(dam I feel old now…lol), on the production side of things I think it was back in 2000 when i started a little midi and recording course at college. I got into production coz I wasn’t going to get any dubs from artist’s back then so I fort fuck it I’ll make my own.

KRISISDnB : What other types of music do you listen to?

MANGA : hip hop was my first love (Wu-tang) Raga, Soul RnB and that, don’t mind a bit of the old school garage now and then, really I like all kinds of music as long as it has good production with fresh ideas and a nice flow to it not just the norm stuff like your UK top 10 tracks.

KRISISDnB : What are your targets for the next year or 2?

MANGA : Get in the studio a lot more, put out as much tracks as possible (whatever music), and also Dj’ing anywhere that will have me and madness!

KRISISDnB : Who are your favourite DJs and MCs worldwide?

MANGA : Dj's; Mampi Swift - the guys mixing is too much! Hype - sickness need I say more, Markie - first time he was over hear and played at mass i didn’t know who he was and he blew me away with his mixing I’ll never forget that night. Mc's; GQ - this guy is the definition of an Mc, Eksman and Fun - bars apon bars, Dett - got to be brockie n dett from back in the days BROCKIEEEEE!
