Background : I have been into Drum and Bass for about 4 years, and DJing for almost 3 years now. Although I listen to various genres of music including Trance, House and Breaks, Drum and Bass gives me the most enjoyment. I Have known NeO since July 2006 after I heard him play on GetLockedOn (an internet radio station) and he got me involved. We joined forces to do a weekly show together soon after, and have formed a partnership for our shows.

The 'Special' shows we have done are well known across the stations we have played for where we have attracted big DJ and MC names (including MCs Jepadee, Menace, Mozza, Dubside, and DJs Graysta, One Nation DJ Klip, HerbalQ, Etch, Cruz, BC, Cronicle to name a few). 2007 brings HerbalQ away from the valleys of Merthyr and to the South Coast to help us form Krisis. After appearing on one of our christmas shows, Herbs adds even more to the Krisis name.

Name : DJNeO aka Niall

Background : On October 1st 2004 DJ NeO was inspired by the Jungle master Nicky Blackmarket after witnessing a truly groundbreaking set. Moved by the jumpy, heavy but energetic vibes created by these weird but wonderful basslines NeO was introduced to what we all know as Drum n Bass. 2 years on he finally managed to save up and buy his first set of decks. Without any knowledge of tunes, he purchased the entire collection from DJ Fresh's "Red Mix" and started to attempt to mix. With much frustration and nearly giving up he looked for some advice but knew no other DJ's.

Now after mixing for little over a year NeO got his first show on internet radio, shortly following that he met MX who locked into NeO's first few shows, after meeting up for a drink and a rave, MX and NeO formed a partnership. More recently has seen the much welcomed introduction of Herbal Q, who has brought a different style and outlook to the partnership, this formed the birth of Krisis!

Background : Originally from South wales. Moved to southampton in February 2007. HerbalQ has been DJing for about 3 years and has been an internet radio DJ for just under 1 year. Has played a few live events back in wales but is now looking to progress what he has learned with the help of DJ MX and DJ NeO. Originally was into Jungle at around the age of 10 listening to the likes of Mickey Finn and favourite track at that time was M beat feat. General Levy - Incredible which is still a popular track today.

I first got into the rave scene in 1990-91’ after finding a mix tape on my way to school and after listening to it thought ‘wow what is this stuff?’ It was something new with an exciting energy about it & just caught the vibe from there, creating dance mix tape’s on an old Aiwa stereo & turntable for friends.
I’ve been Djing since 1995, when i starting off playing with Hip Hop beats before i got my first set of decks in 1996, where i moved onto Jungle / Drum & Bass, then onto producing my own stuff by 2001.

DJ Deep first got into the scene when he was still at school aged 13. He went to private lessons every monday after school and practised every day on his own set of belt drives. two years later he realised the real art of djing and moved onto direct drives increasing his skills at a good standard at the age of 16. He then moved onto recording his own drum and bass sets on tape in his garage with a small set up wich included a numark dm950 mixer and standard numark direct drive turntables. He then moved onto a workshop linking up with a signed urban takeover artist called ''DJ Erb N Dub'' producing various drum and bass tunes and doin many b2b sessions. Then linking with many dj's such as , DJ Gunna Blue T, Dj Darkheart,Dj Jarrett, Dj Fusion Mc Nology & Dj Erb n Dub, Alter Ego, Mc Spooka plus man experienced drum and bass dj's.

At the middle age of seventeen Dj Deep moved onto teaching at youth workshops teaching youth's basic ways of scratching and giving them the idea and education on dj'ing. Mr Lean started mixing at the age of 17. Within a year he had earned residencies at Shimme Flex, Exhilarate, Rotations, and Darkside Warriors at local Drum and Bass club “Pulse Underground”. In Summer 2006, sick of just mixing at night’s he came together with local DJ Mr Funky Haines and arranged “Rave in the Woods ‘06” – a free party, obviously(!), in the Woods, that was attended by nearly 250 ravers. The event was broadcast live on local Pirate Radio RWD FM, and after this Lean represented the station regularly until the location was changed and RWD became Haze. Although Haze is no more Lean still plays regularly on local pirates as well as several Internet Radio Stations, most recently, and notably KrisisDNB. (Catch my show 12 till 1pm on Sunday afternoons, before Miss Lethal 1 till 3pm) He now holds residencies at the Turntable Terrorist events, Demolition,Broken and Sugar and is looking for more local nights to tear it up at.

Winter 2007 will see the release of the Medway All-stars Mixtape Compilation, which is set to be released by a local label with limited edition artwork and mixtape binder. Included will be mixes from Decoy Danjah and Mirko of Raving Itch.

Mr Lean has now set up his own multi-genre promotions company called “One Foot Skank” which will see its opening party in South London before Christmas and is set to include some of the biggest Dubstep, Hip Hop and Drum and Bass DJ’s in the UK. Also look out for One Foot Skank vs. Turntable Terrorists coming soon!

Ez peeps i'm Rowney. Been djing for 9 years on and off in between production and other activities, i've been producing dnb around 4-5 years, started off using fruityloops 3.56 and now using fruity 7 studio
my breakthrough was when DJ BANBAN (brazil) noticed me on myspace and got some tunes off me, next thing i know he told me he was using one of them on his KNOWLEDGE MAGAZINE mix cd, it also got some airplay on a multi genre radio 1 show. after that SECOND CITY RECORDS hit me up and showed interest in my music, i was drafted into the rosta, should have tunes forthcoming on the label in the not too distant future.
after that CKB of CLASS A RECORDINGZ hit me up for beats and i passed him a few including MISERY GUTS, one of my best tracks and he played it out in leicester, after that i gave him tracks for the label and the rest is history. i made the track CHATTERBOX and CKB was impressed and chose it for the a side on our first release, backed with LET ME STAY by WOBBLE T the up and coming french dnb artist.
The promos have sold out, it releases on 26th november 2007 so watch out for that one lol
Also had mp3 releases on HAMMER RECORDINGZ with DUB SKANK and YELLOWBELLY which has done pretty well.

I have always really been into DNB I have listened to it since I was 5, listening to old randall tapes,,, eventually I brought myself some decks back in 2002 some cheap direct drive numarks and also brought a stack of vinyl. I didn’t really used to mix, just more throw a vinyl on and fade out the old tune,,,, the years went past and I turned my hand to mc’ing but didn’t really have the voice so I gave up.

Anyways a couple of years of not reali giving any effort to djing whatsoever and 2007 rolls round, I moved to new Zealand wid my family and didn’t like it, came home and decided, that’s it, im gna make something of myself in late 2007 I hooked up with aragon housing and an mc called MC Naïve, me n naïve set up Lyrics academy nights for the 12- 19 yearolds of the local area to help with anti social behavior, Aragon decided to start funding for the project and with that I got a load of new equipment.

As 2007 starts to end and 2008 gets closer, Krisisdnb, a show id been listening to for a wile was in my sights, I got chatting to mx, and after sum sweet talk a half decent mix and sum beggin, I got some airtime on KRISISDNB.com I now do many fill in shows for MX and NEO which has also got me far, so far now I am on the show nearly every day and have more and more events rolling in under my fingertips…
